How judgment buyers work
A judgment is a legal asset. Selling it begins with a careful review—not an automatic offer.
Select judgments may qualify for purchase consideration. Before a responsible offer can be discussed, we verify the final judgment, ownership, supportable balance, debtor identity, current status, prior payments, and practical recovery indicators. If purchase is not the right fit, another recovery structure may be considered.
We review ownership, status, parties, balance, asset clues, bankruptcy, prior enforcement, and likely economics.
The result may be a purchase discussion, recovery review, request for specific information, monitoring decision, or a reasoned decline.
Who we help
One objective.
Different starting points.
Judgment owners
You prevailed. Now you need a practical path from a court award to a financial result.

Give clients a focused post-judgment option without extending the original litigation engagement.
Portfolio owners & referral partners
Screen multiple judgments or direct a creditor into the correct review path without making the recovery decision yourself.
Judgment enforcement asset search
Collecting starts with finding where value may exist.
Winning a judgment is only half the battle. Collection often stalls because the useful asset picture is incomplete, outdated, or deliberately difficult to follow. Posh Capital organizes lawful records, client documents, ownership information, business activity, and professional review into a clearer recovery file.
Post-judgment asset research can help:
- Identify real estate, business interests, equipment, receivables, and other property leads
- Surface transfers involving spouses, relatives, related businesses, or shell entities for further review
- Locate income sources, operating businesses, customers, and financial relationships
- Map ownership, liens, competing claims, locations, and potential priority issues
- Refresh stale debtor addresses, entity records, merchant activity, and multistate connections
- Support counsel-led review of liens, levies, garnishment, writs, turnover, and other lawful options
Ownership, exemptions, equity, senior liens, jurisdiction, procedure, and cost must still be evaluated for the specific matter.
What Posh Capital does
Evaluate.
Structure.
Pursue.
We focus on the distance between a legal right to payment and an actual recovery.
Availability, timing, structure, and potential value depend on the facts and legal posture of each matter. No particular outcome is promised.

Common questions
Judgment questions, answered directly.
The answers change with the recovery path selected above. They explain what we need, what affects review, and what should not be assumed.
01What kinds of judgments does Posh Capital consider?+
We consider civil money judgments, business and commercial judgments, fraud-related judgments, arbitration awards that may be confirmed or enforced, and portfolios. The signed order, ownership, balance, debtor, procedural status, and recovery prospects determine whether a file can move forward.
02Can I submit multiple judgments or a large portfolio?+
Yes. You may submit one judgment, several related matters, or a full portfolio. We accept large batches and organize the review around ownership, documentation, balances, debtor information, procedural status, and recovery indicators across the files.
03Is there a minimum judgment amount?+
We will consider any amount. Most matters we handle begin around $25,000 because the likely cost and complexity must make economic sense, but a smaller judgment may still have strong recovery indicators. Submit the short form if you are unsure.
04Do you charge an upfront evaluation fee?+
No. There is no upfront charge to request an evaluation. If a file qualifies, the terms of any purchase or recovery arrangement are presented separately for that specific matter.
05Can Posh Capital purchase a judgment outright?+
In some cases. A purchase requires diligence on the judgment, ownership, balance, debtor, legal posture, and realistic recovery costs. Some files may fit a different recovery structure; others may not qualify. Submission alone is not a commitment by either party.
06What is the difference between selling a judgment and coordinated recovery?+
A sale transfers the judgment under agreed terms. In a coordinated recovery arrangement, ownership and the parties’ responsibilities depend on the written agreement. We do not assume that one structure fits every file.
07Which documents are most useful for the first review?+
Provide the signed judgment, a recent docket or case-status record, proof of current ownership, a balance and payment history, debtor information, and a summary of prior enforcement. If the judgment was assigned, include the assignment chain.
08Can an older judgment still be evaluated?+
Yes. Age alone does not decide the answer. Renewal, dormancy, limitations periods, registration in other states, prior payments, ownership history, and changes in the debtor’s circumstances all matter.
09Do you work with judgments nationwide?+
We accept submissions from all 50 states. Enforcement procedure, exemptions, available remedies, and local requirements vary, so the state and court must be identified early in the review.
10What if the debtor made partial payments or defaulted on a payment plan?+
Include every payment, credit, settlement term, and default date you can document. We need a supportable current balance rather than only the original judgment amount.
11What if there is an appeal, stay, bankruptcy, or ownership dispute?+
Disclose it in the submission and provide the relevant filings. These issues may pause, narrow, or prevent a transaction or recovery effort until the legal status is clear.
12Does an asset search guarantee collection?+
No. Research can identify leads involving property, businesses, income, receivables, transfers, or financial relationships. Ownership, equity, liens, exemptions, jurisdiction, procedure, and cost still determine whether a lead is usable.
13Can my attorney remain involved?+
Yes. Attorneys may submit matters for clients and remain involved as appropriate. Posh Capital’s evaluation does not replace legal advice, alter an existing attorney-client relationship, or authorize enforcement activity without the required legal process.
14How quickly will I receive an answer?+
A complete, organized file can be assessed faster than one missing the judgment, ownership, balance, or debtor information. After an initial review, we may request specific documents before giving a meaningful response. No fixed turnaround or result is promised.
